Life on Mission

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

John 3:8

When living fulltime in a RV was just a dream in my head, all I thought about was traveling around the country with my family.  It wasn’t until a few months before our launch date that both Frank and I had a strong sense of a different purpose.   Suddenly both of us felt as if God was asking more of  us.  The pull to serve others along  the way weighed heavily on our hearts.   There was no clear direction on what ministry on the road would look like when we left on the journey.    As my husband often says “We couldn’t just sit around the campfire and roast marshmellows for the rest of our lives”.     Leaning and trusting that theLord would guide our way and light our path (thus the name of our blog).    Just going with the wind of faith,  opportunities have come our way.    Over the course of the last several years, the Lord has been faithful.  He has provided us many opportunities to serve others for His glory.  He has given us both small, simple divine appointments in campgrounds and  opportunities to serve on a larger more organized scale as well.

Since our launch, we have been blessed with opportunities to serve at some amazing ministries :

Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Relief Deployments in Panama City and Dallas

Kid Grow Quest and The Questmobile

The Rhodeheaver Boys Ranch in Florida

GAiN (Global Aid  Network) in Pennsylvania

Apollo Beach Feed the Hungry in Florida

Second Harvest Food Bank in Florida

Jacob’s Well, California

The Gleanings for The Hungry, YWAM, Dinuba, California

Tyler YWAM, Texas

Evangelical Christian Center, Connecticut

Camp Attitude, Oregon

Children of The Nations, Washington

Our less planned, but no less amazing encounters have mostly occurred in campgrounds and small communities around the USA.  We have been able to assist fellow RV’ers with demolition and construction projects, awning issues, water damage, appliance issues, and flooring.  In communities, we have been able to serve at farms, mucking stalls, gardening, cleaning homes, grocery shopping and cooking.

The United States is simply chock full of  some of the most spirit led,  amazing  and giving people.  People who love and give unconditionally, as Christ has loved us.  There are so many stories that I am bursting at the seams to tell you about.   Over the next few months I will  be highlighting all the ministries and amazing people that have we have                                                                    experienced all the way.
